Courseware Developer

Engagements range from one month to several years.

Required Skills:
- Knowledge and experience in developing on-line documentation.
- Knowledge and experience with at least one platform.
- Knowledge and experience with communication protocols.
- Knowledge and experience with tools for the creation, distribution and maintenance of project and user documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; organizational skills; presentation skills and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with office automation suites, presentation tools, and at least one authoring package.
- Proficiency in English.
- Experience in the development, design and delivery of training material for both technical and non-technical users at the specified experience level.
- Knowledge and experience in delivering training on specified packages and platforms
- A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines.
Engagement Description:
The services required for a Courseware Developer opportunity may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assessing the relevant characteristics of a target audience and/or of a setting;
- Performing job, task and/or content analysis;
- Developing training program materials;
- Preparing end-users for implementation of courseware materials;
- Evaluating instruction, program and process;
- Selecting instructional media;
- Recommending instructional strategies;
- Developing performance measurement instruments;
- Performing needs assessments/ analysis.
Experience:
- The successful candidate will typically have five (5) years of progressive experience in the field.
- The candidate must be able to demonstrate experience in developing courseware on at least one platform and authoring package with experience developing and designing materials for both technical and non-technical users. The candidate must have experience developing on-line documentation and have experience with communication protocols.
- Experience with presentation tools and automation suites would be an asset and a strong proficiency in English is required.
Education:
A university degree at the Bachelor level is required for most contracts in this field.
