Engagement Description: 
  • Promote, develop and service all SOMOS management consulting services and corporate training services within SOMOS’ target markets (Ottawa, Federal Government, High Tech, I.T., Business and HR Managers).
  • Manage the delivery of management consulting and training services in support of client project-driven related opportunities.
  • Improve overall client relations building activity and follow through for the company.
  • Responsibilities are in Sales, Customer Service and Client Relations Management.
  • Prospecting – make cold and warm calls to existing and new potential corporate clients. Educate and promote SOMOS’ suite of project management training programs and related consulting services.
  • Building and maintaining client relations and growing business within existing and new client contacts, by closing, servicing and following up on course sales and consulting contracts.
  • Collaboratively working with SOMOS’ Project Management Trainers, Management and Consultants in support of their Marketing Activities and promote their professional skills and services to existing and prospective client accounts.
  • Preparing and writing proposals and quotes for Project Management Training and consulting services.
  • Following up with all clients after a training course and consulting contract to ensure their satisfaction with SOMOS’ overall service experience.
  • Consistently using, updating and maintaining records on status of sales activity on a weekly basis to generate reliable reporting and management of sales forecasting, course scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Working with SOMOS’ Trainers and other employees in effectively following through the service process for course registrants and scheduling and servicing private training courses for corporate clients.
  • Working with SOMOS’ Resource Specialist in recruiting and interviewing skilled Senior Consultants for Project Management training and contract opportunities.
  • Working with SOMOS’ Business Alliance Partners in the promotion and leads generation for Consulting and Training opportunities and sales.
  • Providing on-going follow-up support and service as appropriate to clients and consultants training and consulting service needs.
  • Participating in marketing and sales business activity meetings, provide input to the company’s marketing plans and business improvement initiatives.
Experience: 

The successful candidate must have a minimum five (5) years of business development skills within the IT industry. An adequate knowledge in Project Management practices is required.

Education: 

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science or Business Administration.

Language Requirement: 
  • Fluency in English
  • Fluency in French would be an asset.
