Climate Change ....... Deal with It!

emphasizes the needs to develop practical engineering and administrative responses to address issues associated with the impacts of climate change and global warming. Prospective authors are invited to submit abstracts of their proposed paper, in English or French, by September 15, 2008. For details, refer the "Technical Program" Page.

In addition to technical paper presentations, we have invited a number of national/international experts as Guest Speakers to share their experience with the conference delegates. Also, the CCTC2009 will offer a number of professional development workshops / short courses on subjects of interest to those who have to deal with technical, environmental or administrative issues related climate change.

The Exhibition / Trade show, to be held in conjunction with the conference, will provide an opportunity for delegates to review new products, innovative techniques and available services to combat the impacts of climate change in an informal setting.

The social program offers a venue for delegates to renew old friendship and make new ones. The social program will include an "Ice-Breaker" reception, an exhibitors' reception and a gala banquet. Plans are underway to develop a Companions program for accompanying persons who are not attending the technical sessions.

Considerations also are given to arrange for post conference technical and sites seeing tours to points of interest in Hamilton and surrounding areas.

The CCTC2009 is organized by the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC) in partnership with nine of its member societies.
