Engagements range from one month to several years
The Technology Architect will develop, recommend, implement and manage the technical architecture (hardware, software, database and communications) which will be used for all or specific applications in a large, distributed cross-platform environment. Responsibilities will include identification of relevant information and determination of the environment that will be used for development.
The candidate must have leadership experience in the development and implementation of application architectures. The candidate requires extensive experience with at least two different computing platforms, operating systems, environments, database technologies, programming languages and communication protocols.
The successful candidates experience in structured methodologies for the design, development and implementation of applications must be demonstrated through previous work experience. The resource must have extensive experience in systems analysis and design in large systems environments and must have experience using CASE tools for the development and documentation of data architectures and detailed data models.
A university degree at a Bachelor level is required for most Application Architect positions.
