Engagement Description:

Processing Developers will typically be responsible for developing new functionality into data gathering systems, will provide custom software loads for software testing trials and will develop the data processing environment used to process the gathered data. The Processing Developer will be responsible for:

Developing new functionality for prototype systems including firmware design;
Provide custom software loads for upcoming test trials;
Provide software and technical support for test trials;
Develop and enhance the data processing environment used to process data collected;
Pre-process the trial data and contribute to produce test results and reports;
Create technical documentation, including design documents and test results.

Experience:

The successful candidate will demonstrate five (5) years experience in the following areas:

Object oriented software programming in C++, Java or Smalltalk.
Providing support analysis of Internet Security Protocols.
Programming with X.500 or successor directory standards.
Programming experience with intrusion detection systems, firewalls or content checkers.
Designing or programming applications that enable packet level analysis of Internet protocols.
Programming real time or near real applications.
Programming in one or more of the following: transfer encoding or encoding methods; character sets or character encoding; SMTP or IMAP or POP3; TCP/IP or UDP or DNS.

Education:

A university degree at the Bachelor level in Computer Science or Engineering (Systems, Software or Electrical)
