Formal project audits focus on the processes employed by the client, and are often requested when audit findings and recommendations are required to support decisions by internal and external stakeholders.

SOMOS consultants undertaking the audits are fully accredited in the related profession or industry, such as the Canadian Information Systems Auditor (CISA), which expressly applies the COBIT (Control Objectives by Information Technology) method.
