Earned Value Management (EVM) is a powerful management approach that provides integrated planning and measurement of scope, schedule, and cost (or resource) performance of projects. By identifying performance problems early on in the project life cycle, managers can intervene early to resolve the problems and achieve greater project success.
- Cobra helps to manage project performance by capturing the project’s budget, actual, and earned value data, and by supporting analysis, reporting, and forecasting using this integrated data. Cobra supports the entire project life cycle, including planning, budgeting and bid preparation, monitoring performance, baseline control, and reporting.
- wInsight provides low-cost and user-friendly access to earned value data, enabling managers to quickly understand performance, track trends, locate problems, and take action. wInsight integrates with Cobra and other EVM tools, working from a common database of project information and improving the quality of management decisions.
Both Cobra and wInsight fully support ANSI 748 standard for Earned Value Management, as well as CPR, C/SSR, SOX Section 404, and OMB 300 reporting.
