Engagement Description:

The Systems Auditor participates in the execution of effective information technology and related operational reviews with limited supervision, and identifies internal control risks, business risks, and operational cost reduction opportunities.

The Systems Auditor will also participate in developing IT audit plans. As part of these audit plans, he/she will prepare concise and well-organized working papers that accurately reflect the results of audit tests performed.

This person will also assist in discussing preliminary audit findings with management directly responsible for resolution, and present final audit results.

Experience:

A candidate for this role will have at least two (2) years experience as a Systems Auditor.

Experience in conducting IT audits in accordance with generally accepted IT audit standards and guidelines to ensure that the organization's information technology and business systems are adequately controlled, monitored, and assessed;
Experience in evaluating the strategy, policies, standards, procedures and related practices for the management, planning, and organization of IT;
Experience in evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization's implementation and ongoing management of technical and operational infrastructure to ensure that they adequately support the organization's business objectives;
Experience in evaluating logical, environmental, and IT infrastructure security to ensure that it satisfies the organization's business requirements for safeguarding information assets against unauthorized use, disclosure, modification, damage, or loss;
Experience in evaluating the process for developing and maintaining documented, communicated, and tested plans for continuity of business operations and IT processing in the event of a disruption;
Experience in evaluating the methodology and processes by which business application system development, acquisition, implementation, and maintenance are undertaken to ensure that they meet the organization's business objectives;
Experience in evaluating business systems and processes to ensure that risks are managed in accordance with the organization's business objectives;
Knowledge of business case development.

Education:

A degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in computer science, accounting, business administration, commerce, finance or some other specialty relevant to the position along with significant demonstrated experience as a Systems Auditor.

Language Requirement:

Most positions require fluency in English.
Many customers also have a requirement for abilities in French.
