SOMOS Consultant to Present PMI Webinar

SOMOS Consultant, Russ McDowell, will be presenting a webinar to the PMI® Consulting Community of Practice on June, 19th, 2012.  The presentation will provide a comprehensive overview of key areas in the field of Organizational Project Management (OPM). It will examine where OPM fits in the context of an organization, what are the boundaries to consider and identify some of the key components within the "OPM Envelope". The information will be situated within Russ's personal experience in the development of many of PMI's related standards and supplemented by his knowledge of complementary best practices from Treasury Board and the Cabinet Office of the UK Government (responsible for PRINCE2®, MSP, and ITIL).

Those participating will gain an overview of what Organizational Project Management encompasses, including an understanding of how the various components relate to each other to ensure results of "projectized activities" provide the anticipated benefits to an organization.
