Deltek Cobra 5.0 Now Available!

Deltek is pleased to announce the release of Cobra 5.0, the newest version of the industry-standard Earned Value Management System (EVMS) solution for managing project costs. This release includes enhancements that allow Cobra to run, modify and customize reports in Microsoft Excel, as well as built-in training programs that make learning Cobra easier than ever.

With a new, friendly user interface and intuitive wizards, Deltek Cobra 5.0 easily guides new users through cost and earned-value reporting. The new interface looks and acts like other familiar applications, making it friendlier and easier to navigate. With enhanced wizards to automate time consuming tasks and better project views, Cobra 5 reduces the learning curve so new users can get up to speed quickly.

Reporting Re-invented

The new reporting engine in Cobra 5 allows you easily run, modify and customize your reports using Microsoft® Excel. The new Report Wizard walks you through reporting processes and allows you to save preferences for later use. And, by eliminating the need for multiple reports and adding a grouping capability, Cobra 5 makes it easy to identify and investigate poor project performance.

Latest Technology

Deltek Cobra 5.0 uses Smart Client technology, which bridges the gap between Web-based applications and desktop applications. Smart Client technology offers the benefits of a Web application with the rich user interface of a Windows application. Imagine a web browser with right mouse menus, standard File Open dialog boxes, drag and drop functionality and all of the other capabilities you are used to in a desktop install.
