SOMOS Wins PRINCE2 PM Supply Arrangement With Environment Canada

SOMOS Consulting Group Ltd. is pleased to announce that we were recently awarded a Supply Arrangement with Environment Canada to provide PRINCE2 project managers over a three year period.  These consultants will assist the Chief Information Officer Branch (CIOB) of Environment Canada in the set-up and operation of its new Project Delivery Office (PDO).

Under this Arrangement, SOMOS will be providing project management support and oversight for IM and IT projects and will support the Project Delivery Office in adopting and adhering to PRINCE2 processes and standards.  The PDO will also need to be consistent with Treasury Board policies, standards and guidelines in regards to Project Management.  The SOMOS Consultants assigned to this engagement are all PRINCE2 certified and have extensive experience managing PRINCE2 projects.  

This is the first time PRINCE2 has been employed by the Canadian Federal Government in setting up a PDO, and is the largest federal PRINCE2 contract awarded to date.  PRINCE2 is a results-oriented project management methodology developed by the UK Office of Government Commerce (OGC).  PRINCE2 is a registered trademark of the OGC.
