Texting over Toll-Free Numbers is one of the most customer-friendly, cost-effective, and versatile ways to connect businesses with customers today. That’s because text messaging is the way we communicate today — Americans send on average six billion SMS messages per day and 75% of people said they would find texting as a better alternative to waiting on hold.
Because of this, Somos is investing in texting to Toll-Free by continuing to innovate around our products. Based on our customer’s feedback, we have added new functionalities to the Texting & Smart Services (TSS) Registry that can provide a better customer experience and make your operations more efficient. The newest version of the TSS Registry provides you with:
- Bulk Query: The option to query multiple Toll-Free Numbers at the same time. After you upload a simple query file, you can view the status of a Toll-Free Number. You can see whether the number is text enabled, available, or pending.
- Single Query: The option to query just one number and view the response on screen.
This new functionality is available both on our Application Programming Interface (API) and Graphical User Interface (GUI). You can find a new version of the API specifications document containing more detailed instructions here.
Remember that as a Responsible Organization (Resp Org), you already have access to TSS Registry without an additional cost.
