New Reporting, UI and API Updates in the Latest SMS/800 TFN Registry Release!

Number Administration is at the heart of the SMS/800 TFN Registry, and with our September 2020 release, we’ve included a number of enhancements that help support and maximize the core. From the addition of new reporting capabilities to dashboard updates in the User Interface (UI) to expanded search capabilities for the Application Programming Interface (API), our latest release is certain to help drive business operations and efficiencies!

When it comes to reporting, three new reports and an enhancement to existing reports are available in the new release including:

  • NEW Spare Number Forecast Report (120 Day Future View): Displays Disconnected and Transitional Toll-Free Numbers (TFNs) and the dates that these TFNs will be returned to the Spare pool.
  • NEW Pointer Record List Report – Enhanced Filtering: Similar to the existing Pointer Record List Report, this new report allows for enhanced filtering by adding one new field and three new filters to select from.
  • NEW Resp Org Template Utilization Report: Lists the counts of Customer Records (CRs), Complex CRs and Pointer Records (PRs) for an Entity as well as provides detail Responsible Organization (Resp Org) level data under its Entity.
  • ENHANCED Reports with Landing Pages: Now available with preview capability, allowing a user to filter and display the first 10 rows of results prior to generating a full report. The user will remain on the landing page while using the preview feature and only be directed to a new screen after generating the full report.

In addition to enhanced reporting, the September 2020 release also includes feature enhancements that boost numbering administration capabilities for both API and UI. Specifically, vanity numbers have heightened visibility in searches and the searches’ subsequent results including:

  • The ability to search results by both alpha and numeric options in the NXX and Starting line (Station Code) placements of a TFN in the “Search Capability” section over an API call
  • A new check box that will allow users to see vanity results when the "Show vanity results" check box is selected during a specific search within the UI.

On top of the heightened visibility into vanity number search results, the September 2020 release also features a number of changes to the UI’s Landing Page/Dashboard. This includes a new layout of all available tiles with no fixed tiles, updates to the “alert” box on the landing page and the addition of new dashboard tiles that promote improved messaging and communications.
