New TFNRegistry™ Feature Provides Added Account Security

To increase security and better safeguard TFNRegistry™ accounts, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for the TFNRegistry is now available to users. By establishing MFA, authentication for your account will require a valid Login ID/password as well as a unique security code.

This added layer of security – which users can set up and manage on the User Control (URC) page in the TFNRegistry – will help better protect accounts from unauthorized access and cyberattacks. Specifically, when TFNRegistry users set up MFA on their account, it will require a valid Login ID/password as well as a unique security code, which can be accessed via a third-party authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, OneLogin, Authy, and Last Pass.

Beginning June 5, 2022, it will be required for those who use an API Key instead of their Login ID and password to login to the TFNRegisry.. If you are a user who would like to set up and manage API Keys, please contact your Resp Org’s Primary Contact and/or Company Administrator(s) to gain access to the appropriate, required permissions.

Please Note: To avoid a potential service delay and/or disruption, active API Key users must set up MFA on their account by June 5, 2022.

More information and detailed instructions for setting up and managing MFA can be found in the TFNRegistry User Guide, which can be accessed via the TFNRegistry UI** and within the Somos Portal Website*. Also, available within the Somos Portal Website* and Somos’ Developer Resources**, is an MFA Quick Start Guide to help you complete the MFA set up process. Please also refer to the “API Overview Document” in Somos' Developer Resources** for more information on API Keys.

* A valid Resp Org Login ID is required to gain access to the Somos Portal Website. In the event that you are not able to access the Somos Portal Website, please reach out to your Resp Org's Primary Contact and/or Company Administrator(s) for further assistance.

** Access to the TFNRegistry UI and Developer Resources are permission-based and not available to all users by default. If you are not able to access the Developer Resources site, please reach out to your Resp Org's Primary Contact and/or Company Administrator(s) for further assistance.
