Responsible Organization Training & Certification Registration


Becoming a Responsible Organization (Resp Org) is a great way for telecom companies, application providers, professional phone number management firms and others to add Toll-Free Numbers to their offerings. Anyone who uses or provides Toll-Free services can apply to complete our comprehensive training and certification process. After your certification as a Resp Org, you’ll have access to secure and manage your Toll-Free Numbers!

Course Outline:

  • Introduction: Overview, Capabilities and Features
  • General Procedures: Logon, Menus, Screens, etc.
  • Number Administration: Number Search, Number Reservation
  • Customer Records: Complex Records and Templates
  • Service Maintenance: Diagnostic and Other Informational Features
  • Reporting Features

The five-day training course will provide the skills and knowledge required to use the TFNRegistry™. The classroom instruction is reinforced by brain-building exercises and abundant one-on-one assistance.

  • Attendees should be familiar with the concepts and terminology of telephone networks and Toll-Free services.
  • Service Establishment Application must be completed prior to attending a Training & Certification Class. Certified Resp Orgs are welcome to register and attend a class at any time.

Registration Fee:
The fee for the five-day training & certification class is $1,750.00* per student and includes all training documents. In order to become a Certified Resp Org, your company should have started the process for Service Establishment.  Click here to view the Service Establishment Checklist.  

*Somos is committed to conducting each session, provided there is sufficient enrollment. Each session will be confirmed at least four weeks prior to the start date for in-person training and two weeks prior to start date for virtual training classes. Once confirmed, Somos will notify all students who have registered for the class and will invoice their company. The registered company then becomes responsible for the student's registration fee. Somos must receive payment in full one week before the start of class. If a student cannot attend the session, the company can schedule someone else to attend in their place or the company can receive credit towards attending a future session. (Credit is good for one year after the original session date.)
