988 Lifeline Now Available: Healing, Hope and Help are Happening Every Day

Did you know that in 2020:

Suicide was the twelfth leading cause of death overall in the United States, claiming the lives of over 45,900 people?*

By providing support and sharing stories of hope and recovery; however, together, we have the power to help others. Knowing this, it likely comes to no surprise why, in 2020, Congress designated a new dialing code – 988 – to be operated through the existing National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

Yet another important notable fact: as studies have shown, providing 24/7, free and confidential support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress can help thousands of people overcome crisis situations every day.
