10th Annual Law Rocks Washington DC Stars Lawyers Who Rock

Washington D.C. – Law Rocks, the nonprofit organization that produces a global tour of fundraising concerts starring legal professionals, is celebrating a decade of rocking Washington D.C. on September 11, 2025. The event kicks off the Law Rocks’ 2025 Fall Tour after a successful spring, which featured shows in Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, and Chicago.

The 10th Annual Law Rocks D.C. will feature eight bands made up of talented legal professionals representing 22 firms. This year, band members will take the stage at The Atlantis for the first time. Each participating band is rocking out to support the charity of their choice. This year’s selected organizations include Catholic Charities Legal Network; Friends of Roam; Gifts For The Homeless; HomeAid National Capital Region; Blood Cancer United; Miriam’s Kitchen; Words, Beats & Life; and Young Artists of America.

Law Rocks will also be awarding the Music Matters grant as part of their initiative to increase giving in support of music education, particularly for underserved youth. This year’s Washington, DC recipient is Foundation for the Advancement of Music & Education (FAME) – an organization that prepares youth for college and career through a four-pronged approach, including music instruction, academic support, college preparation, and career readiness.

The event is made possible by the generosity of our sponsors, including Hall of Fame sponsor CYPFER and Venable; top sponsors Somos; Akin; Orrick; Secretariat; Taft Stettinius & Hollister; Verizon; Walsh, Colucci, Lubeley & Walsh; Willkie Farr & Gallagher; and additional sponsors AT&T Services; BakerHostetler; Kator Parks Weiser & Wright; and Wilkinson Barker Knauer.

Three factors determine the winning band of the night: total amount raised in donations; total amount raised in sponsorships and ticket sales; and Rock Panel of Judges score. There will also be special recognition for the band with the highest marks from the Rock Panel of Judges.

This year’s D.C. Rock Panel of Judges features Reginald Payne aka “The Bass Negus,” professional bassist, composer, music director, and educator; Stacy Puente, a musician, singer/songwriter, and front person for several DC area rock bands, including three-year Law Rocks veteran G.O.A.T. Rodeo; Faith “Dutchie Dutch” Roberts, Esq., an artist and attorney; and Gregory K. Wells, attorney and board member of Foundation for the Advancement of Music & Education (FAME). The event will be hosted by Valerie Ojeda, front woman for the wildly successful cover band “Anthem Road.”

The September 11 concert will feature legal professionals from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld; BakerHostetler; DOJ Appellate Division; Federal Communications Commission; Fish and Richardson; Interactive Brokers; Interlink Capital Strategies; Kator, Parks, Weiser & Wright; Lutzker & Lutzker; Maryland Office of the Attorney General; Miller Friel; McGuireWoods; Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe; Somos; Taft Stettinius & Hollister; Walsh, Colucci, Lubeley & Walsh; Willkie Farr & Gallagher; Wireless Industry Association; USTelecom; Venable; and Verizon.
